Global crude steel output this year will reach a record of 1.83 billion tons

The China Iron and Steel Association said that global crude steel production in 2019 will reach a record 1.83 billion tons. Data show that in November, the global crude steel output of 64 countries included in the World Steel Association statistics was 147.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.0%; from January to November, the global crude steel output was 1.684 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.7% and an increase of 43.96 million. According to this forecast, global crude steel production in 2019 will reach a record 1.83 billion tons, an increase of 2.5% year-on-year and an increase of 44.6 million tons.

According to the China Iron and Steel Association, based on most industry expectations of the steel market next year and the cyclical trajectory forecast of steel prices, the global steel market in January 2020 may start to rise.
