In August, China imported 974,000 tons of steel

According to the data of the General Administration ofCustoms, in August 2019, China exported 5.006 million tons of steel, down 14.8%year-on-year; from January to July, China exported 44.974 million tons ofsteel, down 4.4% year-on-year.

In August, China imported 974,000 tons of steel, down 8.5%year-on-year; from January to August, China imported 7.638 million tons ofsteel, down 12.8% year-on-year.

In August, China imported 94.848 million tons of iron ore andits concentrates, an increase of 6.1% year-on-year; from January to August,China imported a total of 684.851 million tons of iron ore and concentrates,down 3.5% year-on-year.

In August, China exported 441,000 tons of coke, down 44.0%year-on-year; from January to August, China exported 4.71 million tons of coke,down 25.4% year-on-year.
