The 25-nation Government Launched A Global Coalition Calling for The Phasing out of Coal Use

    Recently, a global coalition of over 25 countries initiated an initiative calling for an end to coal use and the shift to the use of clean energy.

    The Global Alliance countries include Alberta Canada, Angola, Austria, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, El Salvador, Fiji, Finland, France, Italy, Luxembourg and the Marshall Islands, according to the Sierra Club report Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Niue, Ontario, Oregon, Portugal, Quebec, Sweden, United Kingdom, Vancouver and Washington.

    A British news media pointed out that the global coalition will not complete the transition to clean energy at the same time. However, they will provide practical scientific and technological help to businesses and non-governmental organizations and the government in accelerating the transition to clean energy.

    British Environment Minister said: "The United Kingdom to be completed by the end of 2025 to eliminate the use of coal, we hope that other countries and regions as well."

    Canadian Environment Minister said: "The elimination of coal use is good for our health, but also for future generations."

    According to the Sierra Club, 50% of coal mines in the United States have either stopped production or announced a halt in production.
